DHL to support 17 VoTC Changemakers as pioneer members of Techy Girls Initiative.

The InnoCreativa Youth Hub (ICYH), an Initiative of Creative Youth Community Development Initiative (CYCDI) is partnering with DHL International Nigeria Limited to promote the empowerment of girls through “Techy Girls Initiative (TGI)” with specialized creative training to achieve their dreams through technology


The 17 “Vision of the Child” changemakers that are presently exploring their creativities and the rich intellectual resources to raise drug prevention awareness amongst youths and vulnerable adults will be pioneer members of Techy Girls Initiative” said Foluke Michael, the CEO and Project Director of CYCDI at the take-off of ICYH on Monday June 11, 2018,


She further said that the project outcome is expected to produce a sensitization movie to support the campaign against the menace of Drug Abuse in support of EU-UNODC “Response to Drugs and Related Organized Crime in Nigeria”.


The Vision of the Child 2018 is supported by European Union and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.


The nominated 17 VoTC changemakers that were drawn from 17 schools in Lagos State will depict their creative presentations and solutions on the project focusSensitization on the nature of drug use, drug dependence, prevention” in painting format before a live audience on Saturday, June 16 2018.


The first Techy Girls Training: “TGI-VoTC 17” will hold by July 2018.  The training will inspire the girls to become positive agents of change in their communities through information and communications technology; and ensure they acquire knowledge, skills and technology needed to promote Sustainable Development Goals.
